Hold onto your hats, bitcoin investors - the cryptocurrency is tumbling again.
Bitcoin, the most talked-about cryptocurrency, was trading 7.47 per cent lower at $2,065.86 this morning, according to CoinDesk data.
The digital currency has retreated after a striking rise throughout the first half of 2017. The price of one coin shot up from less than $900 in January to an all-time high of more than $3,000 in June.
Ether, the cryptocurrency that powers the ethereum blockchain, also dropped more than seven per cent this morning to below the key $200 point.
Ether's price has also soared this year, rising from less than $10 per token to around $400 at its height.
This morning, ether tokens were trading 7.59 per cent lower at $184.55.
