A UK gaming startup has raised millions from investors as it launches its latest mobile app.
Index Ventures led the $4m series A round in Supersolid which is launching its fourth game Home Street, an Android and iOS app which lets users can create their own characters and homes.

The London-based developer's previous games such as Food Street, a restaurant management game, and Super Penguins have already gained millions of downloads.
The cash will go on growing the five-year-old startup's existing 30 person team, further development of Home Street and it's also planning to form partnerships with brands in the realm of entertainment, retail and lifestyle.
"This investment underscores our belief in the team and their formula for making fun and distinctive games," said Index Ventures partner Ben Holmes.

"We believe Home Street will be a big success and can elevate Supersolid to become one of Europe’s leading mobile game studios.”
The backing follows hot on the heels of funding for fellow London gaming firm Bossa Studios. It raised $10m from Atomico in September.
