Thousands of counterfeits seized in raid at Brooklyn flea market - New York Post

Eight people were arrested and more than 2,000 allegedly counterfeit items seized in a raid on a Brooklyn flea market Saturday, authorities said.

The raid unfolded at the AquaDuck Flea Market in East New York just before 1 p.m., according to city Sheriff Joseph Fucito, who said there were so many fake goods, “our evidence truck is full.”

“We’re still counting,” he added of the faux Fendi, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and other good being peddled for as little as $40.

The flea market sellers were charged with trademark counterfeiting and being unlicensed vendors.

One of the vendors who sold mainly designer hats said “I’ll be alright” as his customers checked on him.

“We live in Brooklyn, we don’t live in Hollywood. Who can afford a real bag?” one customer scoffed.
